Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, password in protected form, and email-verification status.
• Profile and health-related information: age, gender used by the calculation, height, weight, goal, activity, allergies, food preferences, city and optional budget.
• App activity: calorie targets, food and weight logs, meal plans, custom foods, retailer links you open, and basic product events.
• Technical information: IP address, browser or device details, session information, security logs, cookies and page views.

Why we use it

We use your information to create your account, calculate nutrition targets, personalize recipes, exclude selected allergens, show progress, build grocery lists, secure the service, provide support, and improve reliability. We do not sell your personal information.

Health information and consent

Some information, such as weight, allergies and food logs, may be sensitive health-related data. We ask for your clear consent before creating a plan. You may withdraw consent by deleting your account or contacting us, but the personalized service cannot work without the information needed for its calculations.

Analytics, service providers and external links

Cloudflare provides hosting, database, email and security services. Google Analytics and EU-hosted PostHog receive limited page-view and product-event information for all visitors. Advertising personalization, Google signals, PostHog session recording, person profiles, and automatic click or form capture are disabled. We do not send account or health information to either analytics service. Food information may come from USDA or Open Food Facts, but we do not send them your account or health information. Retailers receive information under their own policies after you leave Mem and open their site or app.

Storage and retention

We keep account and app information while your account is active. When you delete your account, directly identifying account records are deleted; limited security, legal or de-identified usage records may remain only where needed. Some information may remain temporarily in protected backups until they rotate out.

Age, security and changes

Mem is for adults aged 18 and over. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can promise absolute security. We may update this policy when the service changes and will update the date above; important changes will be shown in the app when appropriate.
